I think even the parody is supposed to be 'picked' but some Youtube versions say took. Either way, it's funny.

I’ve been singing it to myself wrong for years. She took off her ring. I had a mate whose favourite song was Wind of change and he used to sing I follow the mosque down to Porky park. Luckily someone told him it was I follow the Moskva down to Gorky park before he got done for racism.

When I first heard the Rolling Stones' version of "Not Fade Away", I thought they were singing: "My love is bigger than a Cadillac / I'll dry your shoulders if you'll dry my back".

I voted for this too and thought it was clever, but would have preferred 'picked' too as that's the version I know
Also, I can't get the song out of my head now!

Just Googled the lyrics to 'Not Fade Away' as I could never understand what Mick Jagger was saying here. I much prefer "I'll dry your shoulders if you'll dry my back" to the actual lyric. Maybe you should've been a songwriter Molly. 😂 I sometimes wonder if poor diction is used to conceal bad lyrics. I remember there used to be a magazine called 'Words' which published the lyrics to the hits of the day. I often wished I hadn't read some of them as they kind of ruined many a good song for me. I used to think Boney M were singing "I remember one Saturday night/ We had fried fish and Chorley cakes", but apparently it was "fried fish and Johnny cakes". 🤢

Do you think you'll need to answer a questionnaire proving how canine you are before you're allowed to be a dog?

One day Randy’s going to fly away too.
