I voted for this before the actual species was determined, but I shan't remove my vote as there seems to be a lot of that going on at the moment

@ Rob. I've also noticed that there's been a lot of vote revoking lately. It is conceivable that if a captioneer was doing fairly well he/she could revoke all votes placed with a jolly good chance of increasing their position on the leader-board AND the position of their caption on a particular picture. (as I'm not doing so well these days I shan't bother trying!)

I was doing fairly well the last time I looked, but it's not me revoking the voting.

I did remove my thanks once accidentally (overzealous mouse-hovering!) and got hauled over the coals by the person who wrote the caption, but I reinstated my vote.

I've just checked and three of the votes for my captions HAVE been removed.

It would seem that the anonymity is wearing off.

I'm going to alter the voting so that votes can only be revoked for a short period of time after they've been placed (idea from Davie). Should help stop "tactical revoking"

To me the site has and hopefully always will be a bit of fun and craic. never had and never would revoke a vote.
