My dad used to tell me about a song about this when he was young (probably 1930's ) where the first part was a question and the second part was an answer, involving all the states of the U.S. It went something like this - and I don't know the tune. "- What did Delaware boys, what did Delaware - She wore a New Jersey boys, she wore a New Jersey." I think they had every state - What did Io-weigh? A Washington, What did Tennessee? She saw what Arkansas, etc. That's about all I can remember right now (except for a couple of questions like "What did Idaho" and "Where has Oregon"). I'm sure Alaska was in there somewhere.
Where has Oregon, boy,
Where has Oregon.
