I didn't vote for the word 'terrace', I voted for the complete caption, which happened to be an idea I had had but couldn't word it as succinctly as this.
Thanks for the reply, Leroy and anon (11.55). I did not object to the use of the word 'terrace' or the caption as a whole. 'Terrace' is in the photo so therefore it is fair game. I simply asked why the other caption didn't get a vote as they were so similar. Any terrace I ever stood on was filled with die-hard fans playing every ball along with the players on the pitch. They always played the perfect game too with plenty of 'he shoulda done this or that' comments when someone messed up. Anyway, it made sense to me but obviously I'm in a minority of one. Some you win, some you lose.

Maybe because this caption makes more sense than the other one. It is permittable for more than one person to use the word 'terrace'.
