Double ouch! Debated whether to put it forward, and was grappling with the age-old question as to whether barriers should be applied to humour. Will take it down if anyone objects as it may be deemed offensive by some.
Shouldn't be barriers here with humor - I appreciate the edgier stuff and hate fluff personally. Speaking of which, I don't think anyone got my joke on the man-in-underwear-blindfolded photo "He puts the lotion on the skin" as being a Silence of the Lambs reference, which I thought might have been too edgy too. Or maybe no one but me thought it was funny!!
Sorry Amy I missed that one! I agree with your sentiments though. All depends who is delivering the joke and the intent behind I think so in that sense I would say there probably are barriers if humour is used as a vehicle to promote regressive tendencies and modes of thought in mankind, like racism, sexism, national chauvinism, and intolerance. That sounds a lot more PC than I actually feel I am!
