I've nothing against people using Sickipedia though opinions are divided on that issue among site users. The problem for me is that I don't really think the caption suits the photo in this case. Or does it?
Any joke I haven't seen before I don't really mind where it originates from, what i do find tiring is the endless repeated puns from the captionmedia archives.
(first poster) I'm not saying that it's wrong to post other people's jokes, but to post them as your own work without crediting kriscoco at Sickipedia is just rude. It's a great gag, and if you can get past the racism on Sickipedia there's some great stuff on there, but just nicking stuff from there to post on Captionme without quoting them is just lazy.
There's no skill in putting a few keywords into Sickipedia's search engine. It's quite right of the first poster to flag it and we can then decide whether or not we want to vote on a caption that's had next to no effort put into it.
Damn, I voted. Didn't realise it was a Sickipedia lift. Yes - this should at least have had an anon comment from the captioneer crediting the original author. Using existing jokes is okay, in my opinion, but at least make a nod.
