Dear the people of the United States,

If you don't like the way things are, why not change it? - Is going backwards really the way forwards? - I'd weigh up your options and figure the best course of action. The American Constitution does start off with "We the people", but then again do the laws in it only refer to "We the people of that time?" or is the American Constitution timeless? - England I'm sure have enough shit going on with Brexit and have probably got enough on their plate by writing their own laws atm. However if these laws were rewritten now, in both countries it would be by Conservative governments. Would it be an idea for the people aka "we" to work together and draw something up themselves that will be relevant for today and for the future?

Oh, btw you might want to try sending another bottle. This one landed in France.

Bonne chance mon ami

LOL, Glyn, when I got to the end of yours I had to go back and read it to myself with a French accent! Cheers.

Dear France,

You're right, of course. The problem is that instead of a parliamentary and/or proportional representation system, the American Constitution uses a winner-take-all system wherein the most extremist lawmakers of each of the two entrenched parties are promoted from the primaries, resulting in lawmaking bodies that are in a constant state of uncompromising deadlock. And that in turn makes it almost impossible to change the constitution.

Oh, btw you all might want to try a more reliable form of communication, or at least learn about oceanic currents, this is Germany.

Viel glück, meine Freunde.
