Thanks Molly. I googled it to check, and she's right, an oxer is normally just any two bar jump, but there is a triple bar oxer which has three. Technically this one appears to be a square oxer (the hardest of all oxers) because it is as wide as it is high. Ah, equestrian sports ... fascinating.
My daughter's horsey. I think the double is called an oxer, but for the sake of us laymen I've called it a double bar.

I think it's an oxer when there is a hedge in between the two uprights. They have one at Hickstead.
