This reminds me so much of the time my daughter dislocated and fractured her kneecap. She returned to the fracture clinic on crutches, encased in plaster from ankle to thigh, and the doctor said, "I understand you've hurt your wrist?" You certainly couldn't accuse him of making assumptions!
