Hello Veteran Captioners! I think this one has potential to get at least one vote ...but I want to ask you about any ideas you might have for an edit: CarJack. CarJack! Car Jack. Car-Jack! ... Help!!! I tried separating "car" and "jack" but I think it was getting muddled with "the jack that lifts the car" (which is kind of a "triple entendre" that does not work.) I tried it without the capital J but I don't know if people would get that I was referring to Jack Daniels ... or get it at all. What about a dash. Would that be funny or weird? Maybe I should leave it the way it is? ... THANK YOU in advance for your input! Sincerely, Greg
Hello Greg... A lot of my captions that I think are bloody marvellous end up getting 'nil points.' ... and others that are sometimes blindingly obvious and lack invention will score well... so it's hard for me to say with real authority what constitutes a winning caption. As to CarJack - I would say it's perfect the way it is... and it is not really dissimilar to captions that have done very well for me. Good luck mate.
I appreciate your input (and I'm glad you like my caption.) It IS fun to hear those votes blip in when it does happen. Even when I don't get any votes, it's great to get engrossed in this site. I love reading the other captions as well. I imagine that there are geniuses out there writing some of these captions so what chance do I have (because my IQ is only in the "very superior" range.) .....Just kidding.
